Safety Tips Blog

Not all of the things we can do on the blog

There are some things that we must follow to ensure safety when blogging.don 't underestimate this issue because no one for us to be careful .. especially for women who are more at risk in the cyber world. Let's blogging safely.

Think of a blog post as a virtual tattoo - easy to get but difficult if not impossible to remove. An interesting blog can be picked up by other bloggers and re-posted. This means that removing a post from your own blog does not necessarily mean it is not still in the public domain. Once its out there, it is out there forever. Here are a few simple rules that you should follow to avoid embarrassment or worse from your online ramblings.
  1. Never write something in a blog that you wouldn't say to potential readers face to face
  2. Never post anything that you wouldn't want your mother to see, now or in the future.
  3. Never post anything negative about someone else
  4. Never include course language in a post
  5. Never mix blogging and alcohol
  6. Never make a post in anger
  7. Never post a photo of someone else without their permission or the permission of a parent/guardian if the person is not an adult
  8. Never post explicit images
  9. Never post a rant on any subject when you lack knowledge - it is better to remain silent and have people think you are ignorant than to make a post that proves you are!
  10. If in doubt - DON"T.
The internet, and blogs in particular, can be incredibly empowering through the transfer of information and building of knowledge. They can also be incredibly damaging when misused, both to the target and to the blogger.  Please join the swelling ranks of bloggers, the rewards are worth a little effort.  But do it intelligently and with caution.
